Pixark is based on ARK: Survival Evolved, the developer of which, Studio Wildcard, was purchases by Snail Games in December 2015. Pixark aimed at keeping the core content of the game, but providing a greater freedom of creativity via individual cube destruction and placement. Pixark also aims to appeal to a younger audience than ARK
